Weekend Fun - A Giveaway - NICU Smocks - Quilting Classes!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

To add to your weekend fun, you can enter to win a fat quarter bundle of Sweet Baby Girl by Riley Blake.  Giveaway ends Thursday, August 13th.

Have you heard about the NICU Smocks 2015 Sew Along coordinated by Craftsy?  A NICU Smock is designed for babies with tubes and monitors attached to them, making regular clothes impossible to wear.  It would be so scary to have a baby in the NICU and even more heart-wrenching to not be able to hold them and to see them in the isolette with only a diaper on.  This little smock is approved by many NICUs for these tiny babies.  Read more about the project and get the free pattern here.

And for further weekend fun, Craftsy has over 400 classes on sale for $19.99 or less this weekend only!  Several of my favorite quilting classes are on sale, including The Twisted Irish Chain by Amy Gibson and Playful Piecing Techniques by Camille Roskelley.

I'm planning on learning Amigurumi this winter, and there's a class on Woodland Animals on sale, too!  Do you know what Amigurumi is?  It's crocheting and knitting small, stuffed creatures!

Have a fun weekend!

I've been wanting to take a class on Craftsy but I can't decide which one.

Love the smocks. I have a niece who works in maternity and I would probably make smocks for the newborns.

What a wonderful and thoughtful project... I live in a small community but I know that our hospital would welcome these!! Thanks for the free pattern, I know that I have some baby themed fabric that would be perfect!
