Midnight Mystery Quilt Along Progress + Free Adult Coloring Book!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

My goal this week is to finish assembling my Midnight Mystery QAL quilt top and perhaps get it quilted!  I used Flower Sugar fabrics along with a Riley Blake tiny red dot on white, and Kona Cotton in Red and Aqua.  For reference, these blocks are a whopping 24"!!  It's difficult to show how big they really are in the picture.

Have you seen all the fun adult coloring books popping up everywhere?  I was gifted a book and pencils recently and really like it!  You can get your own coloring book for free from Craftsy!  It has 9 designs to download and practice your skills!  Go HERE to download it!

Craftsy's sale on new classes ends today!  All new classes are 50%, starting at $14.99.  Doesn't this Word Play class look fun?

How many blocks are you doing? Putting them together really goes fast. You should be done in no time!

Now I'm regretting not joining in on the Midnight Mystery quilt. Your red and turquoise are a winning combination. I'd love if you joined my new linky party: http://quiltingmod.blogspot.com/2015/12/lessons-learned-linky-1.html

I absolutely love your Midnight Mystery blocks! My goal for this month is to get the top together and start thinking about how to quilt it -- have you thought about how to quilt yours yet? Thanks for sharing at Sew Cute Tuesday!

Gosh, those *are* big blocks! It'll give nice areas for showing off the quilting. :) I still have to make myself a red-and-turquoise quilt. I love that combo. Thanks for linking at BOMs Away :)

I love the colors of your Midnight Mystery Blocks! Such great piecing too. I bought Tula Pink's coloring book when it came out, but I've never been too good at coloring. Weird, since it's pretty much a standard life-skill aqcuired when one is three or four years old. LOL! One of these days I'll grab my son's colored pencils, my coloring book and go to town! Thanks for stopping by my blog today too! You made my day! :)

What nice fabrics in your Mystery blocks! I'm a sucker for Aqua! I've picked thumbed through some of the coloring books, but haven't bought any yet. It would be a calming activity, I think. Thanks for the link to the Craftsy pages.

Love the tiny dots in your Midnight Mystery QAL blocks! I really like the red and turquoise combo--I'll have to consider that for a future quilt. I love big blocks because they make finishing a quilt so fast. How many blocks do you think you'll use for your quilt? Is it a large one?
