Row Addition Baby Boy Quilt!

Another 2019 finish that needs it's day to shine on the blog is a Row Addition baby quilt!

This quilt design is from the book Modern Plus Sign Quilts and is one of many fantastic Plus quilts in the book which is written by Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs and Paige of Quilted Blooms.  I made two baby quilts at the same time for their book hop in 2018, but it took me a year to get this one quilted and bound.  You can see the other one right here.

The quilting reminds me of starry, fiery fireworks.  It's definitely a design I'll use again and again.

The backing fabric inspired the fabrics for the stripes in the quilt top.  I had just the right Moda Grunge fabrics to coordinate well.  I read this week that there are now over 300 Grunge colors!  Now that I type that, I'm questioning myself because that's so hard to believe, but I'm pretty sure that's what I read.  Fat Quarter Shop carries the full collection of Moda Grunge right here.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Row Addition from Modern Plus Sign Quilts Book
Size:  40" x 45"
Fabric:  Moda Grunge
Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton/poly
Quilting:  Stars on Gratitude, my Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher
Backing:  A Michael Miller chevron
Binding:  Gray Grunge, double fold, attached by machine.

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop right here.

What a fun design?!?! Love the bright fabrics you’ve used and I’m sure a bub/toddler will love this quilt very much.

This one is very cute. I can see why you made two.

It's a lovely bright quilt, just ideal for a baby. I like that it's ok to have bright stimulating colours in a nursery - my babies were surrounded by pastel shades which were very pretty but rather dull!
