Skyline Divide Quilt Pattern in Sweet Marion!

I have a sweet Skyline Divide quilt to show you today!  This one is made in Sweet Marion fabrics by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics.

Sweet Marion steals the show here in Skyline Divide!  I've been hoarding this fabric collection for just the right project, and it fits perfectly.

The accent color is Kona Snow.

This Skyline Divide quilt was quilted with a fun Heart in Heart edge to edge design which adds a lot of texture and interest to the quilt.

Now back to the quilt pattern ...

Skyline Divide is a design that came about when I had a dream about the gray and pink version which I'll show you soon.  It just "fell from the sky."

All the sizes ... and two versions ...

This pattern includes 5 sizes - Baby, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King - and includes two versions - planned and scrappy.  This one is the scrappy version, even though it's made with a single fabric collection, because there are 40 fabrics in the collection.  Add in a background fabric, and you're off!

Do you think this quilt pattern is 2-1/2" jelly roll strip, fat quarter, or yardage friendly??

Yes, you would be right, no matter what you answered; it's all three!  The fabric requirements include yardage of 5 fabrics for the planned version, and the scrappy version can be made using strips, FQs, and yardage, and the pattern tells you how to use them - no guessing here.  I've done all of the work for you, so you can truly pick it up and go!

Everyone makes mistakes ...

I made a little snafu when assembling this quilt top, and some of the blocks are turned the wrong direction, creating a little bit different design than the original pattern.  You can't tell it from the picture unless comparing it directly to the quilt pattern, because the quilt is still symmetrical.  Ah, well, it turned out beautiful anyway.  :)

Quilt pattern tips ...

Skyline Divide includes tips on how to get the longest strip sets possible and what to do if the strip sets aren't quite long enough, which was the case when I made the gray and pink version.  It's simple to compensate for, and I've done all of the figuring and math for you.  I love spoiling you.  :)

Quick and easy and beginner friendly ...

This is a quick and easy one!  While none of my quilt patterns are for the true beginner who has NEVER made a quilt before or sewn a 1/4" seam because I assume you have a basic knowledge of quilting, this quilt pattern is definitely almost beginner friendly and very quick with strip piecing and large blocks.
