Skyline Divide Throw Quilt - the Flower Sugar One

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

I have a new one for you!  I'm so excited to tell you about the new Skyline Divide quilt pattern.

This fabric is Flower Sugar by Lecien, which I had in my stash.  A few weeks ago I had a dream about these exact fabrics, so I pulled them the next morning.  I had two coordinating polka dot pinks that matched perfectly.  My rule of thumb 👍 - always have a fresh supply of polka dot fabrics on hand; they work in nearly every quilt.

The quilting design is Feathered Roses 🌹, done on my Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher.  Normally I use very basic threads when quilting - shades of white, gray, and black - but I've been on a colored thread kick lately when it works for the quilt.  With some bad decisions for thread color in the past, I try to make the thread color look good with both the quilt top and backing so it doesn't blatantly stand out on either one.

This quilt was quilted with pink thread.  😍

Skyline Divide Quilt Pattern

Oh yes, the quilt pattern.  The Skyline Divide design fell from the sky when I pulled the fabrics from my stash, and I set out to make the quilt that very day.  The quilt pattern quickly followed.

Skyline Divide includes 5 sizes - Baby, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King (that's ALL the quilt sizes)!

Two Versions - Planned and Scrappy

Skyline Divide has two fabric options - planned or scrappy.  This is the planned version, made with yardage of five fabrics.

Jelly Roll Strips, Fat Quarters, AND Yardage Friendly

The pattern includes a scrappy option which can be made from 2-1/2" jelly roll strips, fat quarters, or yardage and included are instruction on how to use each of them.  I'm all about spoiling you!

Fast and Easy

Skyline Divide is a quick and easy quilt pattern made with strip piecing.  Tips are included on how to sew accurate strip sets, as well as what to do if the strips sets aren't quite long enough.

While none of my patterns are truly beginner friendly for the person who has never sewn a 1/4" seam, this one is for the beginner who has a few projects on their quilting resume.

Skyline Divide is in the pattern shop as a PDF Download or a Printed pattern.  Use the code SKYLINELOVE at checkout for a discount through Sunday, May 31st.

I got mine! When I finish quilting my current project for H2H, then I'll grab my box of strips and see what I can make.
