| My favorite - fun circles! I'm getting a circle cutter after this project - you'll definitely see more circle quilts from me! The circles are quilted in a freehand round manner with brown thread, and the white background is quilted in freehand stipple with yellow thread. I didn't have a matching green thread, so I chose yellow instead so it'd show up more and enhance the background. |

These are wonderful. Your sister is very lucky. I love the piano bench cover! What a wonderful idea. How did your machine do with three layers of batting?
ReplyDelete@ Miki Willa - For the piano bench cover, I first freehand quilted the quilt top in a meandering pattern and then added two additional layers of batting with the backing, sewing right sides together and then turning it right side out. I then used my *new* walking foot to quilt the straight lines you see in the picture of the back. It worked great!
