Laura Ingalls Wilder Dress for Millie

For Millie's 11th birthday {yes, my baby is getting old!}, at her request, I made her a Laura Ingalls Wilder Prairie Dress.  She loves old-fashioned things!  THIS is the pattern I used, and the fabrics can be found HERE and HERE.

Here is the Laura Ingalls Wilder Prairie Dress I made for Millie in 2009 for her birthday.  Three years later, she still wears it although it is a bit below her knees now {with the wide hem let out}, and the sleeves are halfway to her elbows!  The loose waist makes it fit for a long time!

  1. Such a beautiful young lady and the dress turned out so well! I remember reading those books with my daughter several years ago and making a similar dress. Timeless and priceless!
