Our swimming pond is frozen thick, and the kids and Lily are playing hockey instead of working on school work this morning. We don't get much snow here, nor does the pond often have a chance to freeze thick enough to skate on, so they are playing while they can - one of the benefits of homeschooling! It is snowing tiny dandruff flakes, and it is supposed to snow until tomorrow and then warm up and rain shortly thereafter. {Yes, that is a pair of shorts you see!}
Love the pastels. Lots of new babies coming, in my family and in a co-worker/friend family so this would go into a quilt for one of the wee ones (or maybe two of them!) :-)
whoops, forgot to finish my above comment--I have no idea exactly what I would make, most likely a quilt :). I also favorite your Etsy shop. Beautiful items!!
I love those pastels! I can totally see an irish chain quilt using them. I love the pic of your kids playing hockey. We are homeschoolers, too, so I can relate to enjoying things when they happen!
I would love to make a bargello quilt with that. Great thought, given I have just started quilting - I would be setting myself up for failure, no doubt!
I'd use the blues/greens on a "Sea" quilt I'm working on. The pinks/purples I'm not sure - maybe some pillows for my niece or some doll clothes for her.
I am trying to come up with a quilt for my daughters new room. Most of the colors in this jelly roll are in the fabric selection I have decided on for her quilt. They would fit in quite nicely.
I will make a quilt called Sweet Sixteen, a beautiful 16-patch quilt from a book called Antique & Heirloom Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott. I want the quilt to be in soft pastel colors for the bedroom and this Jelly Roll will be perfect!! Thank you for the opportunity to win :)
I would love to make something like your Yellow and grey baby quilt using pastels from this jelly roll. I think it could be really beautiful. Either that or something with herringbone or chevron elements.
I love to hear your positive quilting comments! All comments are moderated, so don't bother with the spam; it won't get posted; you're wasting your time. :)
