Custom Twin-Size Rainbow Strip-N-Flip {Finished!}

This quilt is one of my Quarter 1 Goals for the 2015 Finish Along.  HERE is my original post.

The Rainbow Strip-N-Flip twin quilt is finished!  She is so very sweet and adorable.  We'd love to keep this quilt, but this one has another home.
Picture overload!  I love them all!
My customer chose wool batting because they live in Alaska.  I plan to use wool in future quilts for us.  It has a higher loft, is so cozy, and is still machine wash/dry.  The quilting is more visible with wool batting than it is with cotton because of the higher loft.
 I love the whimsy the dots add.
On a twin bed, the white and some of the rainbow will hang over the sides.  I like the rainbow running clear to the top and bottom of the quilt.
My customer provided the fabric for this quilt and placed the strips in the order she liked before mailing them to me.  I am happy to make quilts out of customer-supplied fabric as long as it is high-quality 100% cotton fabric.
Rainbow confetti dot backing is a perfect match.

  10. So pretty and cheerful. I love the poof quality of the wool batting. I have a Singer 15-91. She's pegged at a 1953 model. She lives in a cabinet and my Juki gets to take trips on my Grace frame. Thanks for sharing!

  12. That quilt is FANTASTIC! I would never have thought of cutting the strips into chunks and then adding the inset fabric to widen the entire quilt - it's brilliant, and it looks great - especially with the varied width of the insets. I don't think you could have found a more perfect backing, either - your customer must be THRILLED!
