Nana's Garden Basket Twin Quilt {Finished!}

Nana's Garden Basket Twin Quilt - an old-fashioned, timeless quilt!

This project began as a quilt for my daughter, but after I made the quilt top, she decided it wasn't her style after all.  This quilt was originally blogged in 2012 {!!} here and here.  It took 2.5 years to piece the backing which took a total of 1.5 hours to complete! Sheesh!

This picture is taken at sunset - I couldn't wait until the next day for better lighting!

The fabrics are a mix of large and small florals with checks, stripes, and dots.

The backing is pieced, consisting mostly of the focus floral fabric along with pieces leftover from the front.

The binding is a scrappy mix of the pinks.

Quilt Stats:
  • Pattern:  Barbie's Baskets found in Cutting Corners by Joan Hanson
  • Size:  57" x 89"
  • Fabric for Quilt Top, Backing and Binding:  Nana's Garden by Red Rooster with a few other fabrics, all quilt-shop quality.
  • Batting:  100% cotton, thin.
  • Quilting:  Allover small stipple in white thread on Mrs.Singer, my antique 31-15.
  • Value:  Super sweet for an old-fashioned, feminine room!

This quilt is for sale in my Etsy shop!

  1. What a pretty quilt! I like pink, but I live in a house full of men. Even the dog is a boy.

  8. That's so soft looking. From a distance, it looks very traditional, and then closer, the fabrics make it more modern. That's a blend I like!
