I've completed the Midnight Mystery Quilt Along!
I ended up with six full blocks rather than the intended eight - a miscalculation in the cutting stage. I decided to make it work anyway and added a 7" border to the sides to make it twin size.
Oh delight! The backing is just gorgeous, and I could hardly bear to use it up! It's one of my favorite Flower Sugar prints by Lecein, and it's . all . gone. {tears!}
It's just so perty all folded up!

Super cute, love the fabric!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks great, and I love the backing. It is perfect for that quilt. I find the mistakes that cause changes in my quilt plans mean I actually end up with something better than my original plan. It's really a lovely quilt and I like how you have the half blocks. Not sure if that was in the original plan, but it looks great. Lori, quiltmusings.wordpress.com
ReplyDeleteThat turned out nicely! Love those bright happy colors.
ReplyDeleteI love this! And your setting with the 6 instead of 8 blocks works really well! Perfect for a twin bed. This would make a great Quilt of Valor.
