Summer Solstice Quilt Along {Blocks!}

Here's my Summer Solstice Quilt Along blocks!  They measure 24" across and are made from a fat quarter bundle of Kona Cotton from a Craftsy repurposed quilt kit.

It took me a long time to figure out the placement of the blocks.  Rainbow order from one corner, which I would have preferred, just didn't work.  This arrangement seems to be the best with the dark red block in the middle, which was confirmed when the sun went down and the block in the middle appeared so much darker than the rest of the blocks.

I'm back to the hare brained idea of adding a border and increasing it to a queen, and not just a plain border, a pieced HST border!  I'd best get to it!

  1. Your layout looks great! A HST border is a great idea, even though it will be more work. I think it's worth it.

    Maybe I'll take a few pics as I pack away those WIP's for a few weeks.
    I'll have a sewing room. Cross your fingers for me and say a prayer!
    I've signed up for your emails so you please post and give me a fix while I am packing!
