The fabrics featured in this post were given to me by Island Batik.
Did you see the reveal of what was inside my Island Batik Ambassador box? If you missed that, go check out that post - it has a yummy Giveaway! Inside that box was a rainbow, and I've already stitched it up into a delightful mug rug!
I don't think I have used the walking foot on my Juki since I got my computerized longarm, Gratitude, last spring. The walking foot made quick work of the stitch-in-the-ditch quilting in invisible thread.
You may be wondering why my mug rug is such an odd size - it measures 5.5" x 16". It fits perfectly in front of the printer on the table next to my desk. It's an awesome landing space that's close yet out of the way so a cup doesn't get knocked over.
This project is made for Galentine's Day, the day before Valentine's Day when we celebrate our female friendships. I am not giving my mug rug away because I so rarely quilt for myself, and this one says ME all over it. Sorry, girl friend!
