Winter Solstice Rainbow Throw Quilt!

This week's finish is a Winter Solstice Throw quilt in a rainbow of Peppered Cottons.  The gray chains are made with two shades of gray for added texture.  These quilt blocks were made to test the pattern last spring, and they were set aside until this week.

Winter Solstice has been kitted by Connecting Threads in Faux Linen, a lovely textured-looking fabric in solid-ish colors.  Our color schemes are very similar which is amazing since I was just using a fat quarter bundle I had on hand.

  1. Using two grays was a great idea. Their contribution is subtle but lovely!

  2. Absolutely gorgeous quilt...I see yours finished at about a large throw or twin size. The kit on Connecting Threads says it's for a queen size quilt finishing at 90 x 108. The price was soooooo low I thought that might be a misprint. To find a lovely kit for a true queen size quilt that is only $101.00 is amazing.
