Belle Throw Quilt!

This is Belle - another finish from 2019 that hasn't been featured here on the blog!  This is made with a layer cake of Shelburne Falls by Denyse Schmidt.

This is a layer cake quilt pattern that goes together fairly quickly.  In order to have all of those squares for the border, the layer cake isn't simply cut into 5" squares; there wouldn't be enough.

This is the first time I have made a Seminole border in a quilt.  Well, I did make a sample border when I wrote the pattern to make sure I knew what I was talking about.  :)  Yes, the pattern was tested with a quilt sample being made, just not by me.

Quilt Stats:

  2. I made the kit from Bluprint. I enjoyed making it. I will post a picture of it and tag you after I gift it to my daughter in law.

  3. I like it, and I'm amazed that fabric prints I wouldn't normally choose look so great in this pattern! I like these colors better than Bluprint's choices, though. I might have a layer cake around here somewhere that needs to be used. =) Let me know when you get the pattern back and can sell it. =)
