Hometown Quilt Kit at Connecting Threads

I have had the pleasure of designing quilt kits for Connecting Threads for almost two years and love how great they are to work with.

Imagine my delight when I find that 10 ... yes TEN ... of my patterns are in latest Connecting Threads catalog and on their website!  TEN!  I'll be featuring them here on the blog so stay tuned.  If you can't wait and want to see all of my patterns that have been kitted at Connecting Threads, pop on over right here.

So, first up I'll show the patriotic quilt kits in case you want to make one (or two!) for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

Hometown ... baseball games, picnics at the park, games around the playground, your friends' neighborhoods ... I find all of these memories in the Hometown quilt pattern ... even desks lined up in a row in a classroom.  It also helps that my hometown school colors (and thus town colors!) are red, white, and blue!

Hometown has been kitted in the twin size and uses charm packs.  You could easily use layer cake squares as well.  The quilt pattern includes 4 sizes - Throw, Twin, Queen, and King.

If you've never made a quilt set on-point quilt, this would be a good pattern to start with.  I've broken out the process into simple steps for you.

Isn't the simplicity of the fabric and pattern so soothing?!?  They're pretty much perfect for a guy or navy, cream, and brick red lover alike.

Hometown in Simply Color

Of course I'll show you the Hometown quilt I made!  This is made with a rainbow of Simply Color and medium gray.

This quilt is a twin size for sale in my quilt shop right here.

  1. Would you consider this an easy pattern, or would it take more of an intermediate skill set? Thanks.
