Today I'm sharing Nantucket with you - perhaps one of my favorites of all of the quilts I've made!
Nantucket Includes All the Sizes!
The brand-new Nantucket quilt pattern includes all the sizes! Yes! Baby, Lap, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King. As many sizes as possible are included in all of my quilt patterns. Some designs aren't conducive to all of the sizes, and I work hard to get as many sizes in as possible.
Harry and Alice Fabrics for the Win!
All of the print fabrics in Nantucket are from Riley Blake Designs. The dark navy's, red, and red dots on white are from the Harry and Alice collection by Amanda Herring. The four medium blues are denim-colored prints from other Riley Blake fabric collections. The background is solid white.
Quilting Design
I've been enjoying using more colored thread in my quilting lately, and Nantucket was quilted in a medium blue by Superior Omni. I chose medium blue because it would blend into everything on the front and back except the lightest fabrics. White or navy would have stood out more. The quilting design is Halcyon, a digital edge-to-edge design by Lorien Quilting, on my Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher.
Backing and Binding
Both the backing and binding are from the Harry and Alice fabric collection as well.
Accuquilt Die Cutter Friendly
The piece sizes in Nantucket are Accuquilt die cutter friendly, though specific instructions for using the cutter are not included in the pattern. Extra fabric may be required above the amounts given in the Quilt Stats if the Accuquilt or other cutting system is used.
For fun, here's Nantucket hanging on the wall in a random living room. I will be hanging my Nantucket quilt on my living room wall later this fall.
