Saving Money on Tools of the Quilting Trade

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Behind the seams of every quilt are supplies, the miscellaneous things that can add up quickly as we stock our sewing rooms.  Most of our supplies either wear out over time or they are "consumed" in the quilting process, so it seems like we're always needing something in the tool department - the quilting tool department, that is - sorry dear, I didn't mean The Home Depot!

We think of Craftsy for quilt kits and fabric, but oh my, they also have a great inventory of quilting supply basics, too!  Here are just a few common quilting tools on sale during Craftsy's Spring Savings sale.

... Aurifil Thread in lots of colors and combos ...

... Clover Wonder Clips ...

... batting, including hard-to-find black! ...

... scissors - many sizes ...

... marking pens ...

... templates - including the Hex N More for your GRAVITY quilt! ...

... zippers - for all the bags you sew! ...

... cutting mats, regular and rotating ...

... rotary cutters ...

... replacement rotary cutter blades ...

... cutting rulers ...

I'm adding some of these items to my Craftsy order today - the Wonder Clips, scissors, black batting (for an upcoming custom king quilt), and marking pens. I'd love to buy a rainbow of zippers, because well, they're such a pretty rainbow, and you know how much I love rainbows, but I'm not a bag maker - yet!  Give me a few years and I probably will be after seeing the amazing bags you all make!  I hope you have fun stocking your sewing room today!
