Quilt Big Projects With Ease!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Most of the quilts I make are bed size with a few lap quilts and even fewer table toppers and wall hangings.  Most custom orders are queen size quilts with an occasional twin or king thrown in, though kings are rare because they are very expensive.  If you were to tour my home {come on over!}, you'd find very few small quilts, a few lap quilts, a handmade quilt on every bed, and sometimes a queen quilt on the living room wall.

I'm not really sure why I am so much more likely to make a bed-sized quilt; they take cost more, take longer, and are a lot more work.  They do seem to sell better than lap quilts in my Etsy shop, so that plays a part in it, I'm sure.

Do bed-sized quilts overwhelm you?  If you need help quilting big projects, Craftsy has the help needed to get you well on your way.  Through Saturday you will save big on the online classes and quilt kits to complete big quilts on your home machine.  Now is your chance to learn some tips to get those UFOs finished!  Psst ... one of the kits on sale is the GRAVITY quilt!

Same here here.....most folks aren't looking for a small quilt. that's why I make mainly queens.

Mrs. Myra, you sound just like me! It seems all I have done while I'm off work (had surgery) is troll the internet looking at stuff on Pinterest, Blogloving',or watching tutorials on the internet. I have not sewn a single stitch, and I've so much to do before Christmas. Both of my grandchildren have requested a quilt (girl 5 & boy 7), and my daughter wants one, too. Also, I want to make a nice ballerina doll for Leionna (dancing classes now), and a lion for Tristan (school mascot). I have the patterns all picked out, but haven't bought the fabric for anything yet! What is a single granny with all of this time on her hands to do when the laptop is staring at me everyday! LOL
