Today is also an extra special day here on the blog - it's my stop on the Modern Plus Sign Quilts book hop! Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs and Paige Alexander of Quilted Blooms have designed 16 quilts based on the Plus Sign block, and there are so many designs to fall in love with in the book!
The second version seems so college preppy, perfect for a newborn boy, right?!?
I had every intention of having these quilts finished for the book hop, even making them quite a bit ahead of time which is not my usual MO, but my longarm began giving me fits while quilting the first quilt and is now in the longarm hospital receiving some special care. #idonthavetimeforthis #verypoortimingindeed
Quilt Stats:
Pattern: Row Addition from Modern Plus Quilts

Be sure to check out the other stops today in the Modern Plus Quilt book hop! You can view the full book hop schedule here. Cheryl and Paige have giveaways during the book hop as well, so be sure to follow along!

Row Addition looks fantastic from Grunge in any color combo! Myra, thank you for contributing to the book hop! Hope your machine is home soon!
ReplyDeleteOh cool, 2 versions! I love how the backing matches the colors in the front, how genius is that?
ReplyDeleteLove the Plus quilt in your fabrics!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! I really like the one in lots of shades of blue.
ReplyDeleteI love grunge fabrics and both of your color combinations are awesome! My son loves rainbows and declared your rainbow version his favorite of the book quilts in the hop so far! Thanks so much for taking part in the book hop!
ReplyDeleteYou were so close to having the first quilt done. I love them both. Can't decide which one I like more!
ReplyDeleteUsing Grunge gives this design a completely different feel from the original! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks great..nice and bright. Hopefully you’ll figure out your longarm issues soon.
ReplyDeleteI love the baby grunges! Both are very sweet. Super idea to go by what backings you had ready too.
ReplyDeleteI hope your machine is fixed soon so you can finish up these beauties.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue baby quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this quilt in Grunge! Thanks for sharing your version, Myra :)
ReplyDeleteI love both of these quilts and the Grunge is just great with this pattern. Why am I not surprised that you had the perfect backing for the quilts. Sorry to hear about your long arm; it sure picked a find time to give you fits.
ReplyDeleteLove using the zigzag fabric to choose your colors. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI love Grunge and they both look great, however, I’m a sucker for a rainbow. They are gorgeous Myra.
ReplyDeleteI like both versions of the pattern. I see big and little boys in these (maybe even girls, too). Sewing machines can be fickle. Hope your quilting machine recovers soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for more boy quilts idea! These are terrific Myra!
ReplyDeleteGreat Plus quilt!! So glad you joined the hop!
ReplyDeleteI like both the colour ways, but blues are my favourite, so #1 for me today.
ReplyDeleteYour Row Addition quilts are stunning! Such pretty colors in both quilts. 'Want that book so badly.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty quilts!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of plus quilts and have been avoiding buying yet another Quilt Book LOL but I think I'm kidding myself! I love your grunge fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteLove your color choices.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt as well and when I got my copy of the book I was tempted to drop everything and blast one of these out....but I resisted. Yours both look great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilts - colors could be for baby boys or older - lap quilt for a teenage boy perhaps? Hope your machine will be fixed soon! Thank you for sharing, Susan
ReplyDeleteVery nice. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with Grunge.
ReplyDeleteLove your two different Plus quilts. So colorful and fun! Great job! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice for babies to have quilts that can grow with them (not too babyish). I hope your long-arm recovers quickly.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that your longarm is in the hospital. Bad timing indeed. I love Grunge and it was a good choice to use it in these quilts. They look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYour quilts look like so much fun! Great work on great finishes! (or almost)
ReplyDeleteWow these quilts look fantastic in Grunge fabric. Sorry to hear that your longarm was in hospital - hope it is soon recovered and back to full operation!!
