My Finish is a full/queen size Picket Fence quilt!
Picket Fence is a layer cake friendly quilt pattern. Even the pieced blocks are made from layer cake squares. Grab a contrasting background color, and you're good to go! The pattern includes 6 sizes from Wall Hanging to King.
For this quilt, I started with a layer cake and added more squares from coordinating yardage.
I revised my Picket Fence pattern in August, and one of the changes was making the queen size larger. This quilt is made in the smaller size since I made the blocks last year, so it's more of a full size.

Size: 85" square
Fabric: Ville Fleurie by French General Fabrics for Moda
Batting: Hobbs Heirloom cotton
Quilting: Feathers Allover on Gratitude in cream thread
Backing: Extra wide back in cream floral

I love seeing quilts made from layer cakes and other precuts! It's always been hard for me to come up with ideas using either precut! Beautiful quilt!

ReplyDeleteYour Picket Fence pattern in this particular color way almost looks 3 dimensional. I really love these fabrics! I am a big fan of the rainbowy things you usually make but this is gorgeous as well.
