Sunrise Over the Horizon Lap Quilt | Finished or Not Friday Linky Party!

Welcome to Finished {or Not!} Friday where you can share what you're working on and see what others have been making!

Another Finish from 2018 is a Sunrise Over the Horizon lap quilt!

This is the second Sunrise Over the Horizon quilt I've made, and I will be making a queen size as a custom order in the next few weeks.  It will have Kona Cerise {a beautiful purply/pinky solid!} instead of the gray, along with two matching pillow shams.  I typically do not make custom quilts anymore, but every once in awhile, my NO button malfunctions and I can't resist a request to make a fantastic quilt such as this!

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Sunrise Over the Horizon
Fabric:  Gelato
Size:  49" x 69"
Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton poly
Quilting:  Maze on Gratitude in gray thread

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

Last Week's Finished {or Not} Friday Features!

Do you want your quilt featured here?

A link back to Busy Hands Quilts in your post is required to get a shoutout here!  It's a small favor in return for the time and money it takes to host this linky party.

Home Awaits by Barb at Mountain Quilt Works!  Home Awaits is one of my quilt patterns!  In a pinch, she didn't set it on point as the pattern is written, and it looks fantastic!

It's your turn to share your finish {or not}!  What's welcome at this party?
  • Any in-progress or finished project made with fabric, yarn, or thread.
  • Projects from this week only.
  • ♥ ♥ PLEASE!  Link to the actual blog post, not your home page.
  • LINK BACK with the Finished or Not Friday button or a text link.

To grab the code for the button below, left click in the box, press Ctrl-A for Select All, then Ctrl-C for Copy, then go to the HTML code for your post and press Ctrl-V to paste it where you want it to appear.

  1. Fabulous finish. This makes me want to do some more FMQ practice to see if I can't make a similar design on my domestic.

  6. A beautiful quilt and great quilting. As for the links without pictures, I can think of another linky party without pictures. I got many more visits from there than from other linky parties. Myself I will visit more blogs now.

  8. Sunset over the Horizon is a gorgeous quilt, and it's really going to be stunning in Cerise! I have a custom order request waiting too, and I'm waffling between saying yes or no.

  9. Hi, Actually, I had problems copying and pasting my URL into the new format, so I never had the chance to link. If there are no photos to motivate me, I don't click on anyone. Sorry...it's a visual thing for me.
