Oh I just love it when I have something new and exciting cooking up in my shop! I have a brand new quilt design that I have been dying to share with you! Introducing for the first time, the Hometown Stars quilt pattern! Available in 8 sizes, this quilt design really puts the emphasis on Home in Hometown Stars.
The Hometown Stars quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.
Introducing Hometown Stars
Hometown Stars is the perfect quick and easy quilt pattern that will brighten up your happy home and add a homey feel to your nest. This quilt was made in the Throw size. Star quilts do not have to be red, white, and blue, and can be made of sweet purples, peaches, and blues for a modern farmhouse vibe.
You will love that Hometown Stars goes together quickly and easily with large blocks. In this design, a smaller star bursts inside of a larger star, and the accent border color is pieced right into the blocks. This design is precut friendly and calls for Fat Quarters or Charm Squares, and of course you could cut Charm Squares from Layer Cake Squares!
8 Sizes Included - Qualifies as a Quilt of Valor
Hometown Stars in the Large Throw size qualifies for the Quilt of Valor program, which makes quilts for United States Military Veterans.
If you are looking for a design that you can turn to again and again, then you are going to love Hometown Stars! Hometown Stars includes 8 sizes in all, so you're covered, no matter what size of quilt you want to make this time - or the next time - or the next time, I've got them all in the pattern for you! I just adore spoiling you with all of the quilt sizes, and I love doing the math for you so you don't have to! The only thing you need to know in my patterns regarding math is how to count!
Longarm Quilting
I quilted Hometown Stars with the Ribbon Curl design on my Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher in white thread.
This quilt top was made by Kare Ybarra.
The Hometown Stars quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.
Those Beautiful Fabrics!
The prints used are from the Moonchild fabric collection by Fran Gulick for Riley Blake Designs. This fabric did not disappoint! I decided to use blues, purples, and pinks from the collection (leaving out the mustard, navy blue, and white prints) because the colors blend together so nicely, turning this into a stunning modern-day quilt.
Shop for Moonchild fabric on Etsy and at Green Fairy Quilts.
