The Postcard From Sweden Quilt Along is here!  This kick-off post is all about schedule, prizes, and includes the first link-up.

Schedule

March 2, 2017  Fabric Selection and Cutting

Go HERE for help with matching fabrics in the quilt kit with their names.

March 16, 2017  Piecing HSTs

March 30, 2017  Pressing and Trimming HSTs

April 13, 2017  Quilt Top Assembly

May 4, 2017  Finished Quilts!

There are two weeks between the first four steps and three weeks for the quilting step because we all have busy lives, plus I'm making a king size so I need the time!  Link-ups will close at 5:00 PM Pacific time on the Wednesday before the next step of the quilt along.

Prizes!

All link-up parties in the Postcard From Sweden QAL will include a prize for one qualifying random entry in the form of a PDF pattern from my Pattern Shop!

Fabric Selection

You are free to use any fabrics for the Postcard From Sweden Quilt Along.  Your quilt does not have to be made in the colors of the original pattern.  As long as your quilt is all HSTs and measures at least 40" square, it's eligible for prizes.  Go HERE for ideas on fabric selection.

If you want to make the original quilt, order your Postcard quilt kit today in time for the fun!  Download the FREE pattern here.

Link-Up Your Cut Fabrics

Today's link-up is for the Cutting step.  It might be squares if you're using the two-at-a-time method, or it might be triangles if you're cutting squares in half or using an Accuquilt fabric cutter.  Show us your delicious fabrics cut and ready to sew!

Here's mine!  The stack is over 10" tall with 600 - 6" finished half triangles cut with my Accuquilt.  I wouldn't make a quilt this size without this cutter.

Link up your cut fabrics here.  This link-up closes on Wednesday, March 15th at 5:00 PM Pacific time.

Grab the POS QAL button and share the fun!

Looks like fun. I think this is a good time for me to use up my solid fabrics and make it scrappy.
