Rainbow Star Baby Quilt | Finished or Not Friday Linky Party

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Finished or Not Friday where you can share your finished {or not} projects!

My Finish is a Rainbow Star baby quilt.  I used this quilt to practice wavy line quilting on Gratitude in preparation for quilting my king size Postcard From Sweden quilt.

The digital edge-to-edge design is Modern Hourglass, which I purchased because it eliminates the stopping and starting at every pass across the quilt.  It will complete as many passes as the throat space allows, without stopping, and is a 90" panto, but this is simple to crop or expand to the quilt width.  I had to be right there to stop it otherwise it would keep going and bump into the belly bar, but this was still much better than one pass at a time.  This quilting shows the panto without any changes to its size.

The backing is a fun rainbow paintbox print.

Rainbow Star is a two-for-one quilt pattern.  You could make two identical quilts or use the optional second layout given in the pattern.  This pattern is for sale in my pattern shop and includes the Kona colors used in the cover quilt, which may vary from this quilt.

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

Hey, I have this Split Square quilt kit in my stash and must get it made!  It's a stunning quilt.  All Craftsy classes are under $20 through Sunday!

  • Pattern:  Rainbow Star, available here.

Last week's featured project!

If you want your quilt featured here next week, be sure to put a link back to this post in your post or sidebar, or tag @busyhandsquilts on Instagram, AND link directly to your blog post so I don't have to hunt it down.

It's your turn to share your finish {or not}!  What's welcome at this party?
  • Any in-progress or finished project made with fabric, yarn, or thread is welcome!
  • Projects from this week only!
  • ♥ ♥ PLEASE!  Link to the actual blog post, not your home page.  We'd like to see your post and don't have the time to go hunt it down.
  • Include the Finished or Not Friday button or a text link that links back to this week's link-up in order to share the fun.  No, I won't delete your link if you don't, but hey, adding a link in your post is just being friendly, so be friendly and share!!

Wow! I really love your Rainbow baby quilt! Fabulous job! I love quilts that are quick finishes, and that looks to be a great one to add to my list!

The wavy lines looks good on the baby quilt. Great idea to practice on a quilt instead of just a piece of fabric.

Your quilt is so lovely! Gotta love a rainbow, right? Your quilting is so pretty, as is your Postcard From Sweden quilt. Though I couldn't join in at this time, I am enjoying seeing everyone's progress! Thank you for sharing!
