Belle Quilt Pattern - the Throw in Notting Hill!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Today I'm sharing a sweet quilt pattern with you called Belle!  This is a layer cake friendly pattern that includes four sizes - Throw, Twin, Queen, and King.

Belle is an X patch design with a Seminole border.  While it looks like there is sashing between the blocks, there isn't; the X's float inside the block rather than going to the edge of the block.

Belle Quilt Pattern

I'm really excited to share the Belle quilt pattern today!

This is a good pattern to learn how to make a Seminole border.  Step-by-step instructions and diagrams break it down into a do-able process.  All of the math has been calculated so the borders fit on each quilt size.

The Twin size is perfect for a stack of 10" squares as it takes 34 squares.  This leaves a bit of wiggle room to leave out the fabrics that blend in too much with your choice of background color.

10" Layer Cake Precuts

The Belle quilt pattern is 10" square friendly for easy fabric selection.  If you don't have a layer cake to use, simply cut the number of squares in the sizes indicated in the pattern, noting how many sets of identical squares are needed.  Yes, even the Seminole border is cut from the layer cake squares!

You'll find a large selection of layer cake squares here, here, here, and here.

Notting Hill Fabrics!

These beautiful fabrics are Notting Hill by Amy Smart for Riley Blake Designs.  This is one of my favorite fabric collections ever.  It's a beautiful collection of florals, polka dots, plaids, ginghams and tone-on-tones in muted navy, red, pink, aqua, yellow and green.  I have used this fabric collection on three pattern covers - My Farmhouse, Skyline Divide, and Belle.

You'll find Notting Hill right here.

The solid is Kona Windsor, available right here
