... There is something so special about a rainbow ...
Rainbow Baby Quilt in Pezzy Prints
When we see one, we want to share it with everyone around us.

Rainbows are timeless.
My bedroom when I was a teenager was decorated in rainbows ...
... and guess what? ...
We have a rainbow quilt on our bed today, over 20 years later!
Thankfully my husband puts up with me surrounding myself with things I love!

I bought this Pezzy Prints jelly roll months ago .. maybe over a year ago.  And then wondered what to do with it.  I could not get this fabric to speak to me in any pattern.  I saw it made into a Churn Dash quilt, but that pattern doesn't work for a jelly roll.  I took it out many, many times and tried to get a pattern to gel with this roll, to no avail.
Pezzy Prints Jelly Roll
... that is until I saw this roll made into a baby blanket over at Molli Sparkles.
Simple, yet perfect for a Pezzy Print jelly roll.
... Ahem ...
... That was yesterday morning ...
... I finished it last night ...
... and washed it today! ...

Finding the perfect backing in my stash was very difficult.  I am on a fabric-buying moratorium because I simply have too much fabric {There, I said it. Acknowledgement is the first step in recovery.}, so buying something was not an option.  Nothing seemed to jive just right because those Pezzies {spq?} are NOT white; they are creamy.  Then I spotted this bold red with creamy dots, not white, by Moda.  But there wasn't enough, so into the stash I went and found this bright cobalt blue with tiny polka dots.  The binding is also polka dots - black with white.  Polka dots are my new go-to fabric because they fit so nicely into almost any quilt, so if I find them on a great sale, I snatch them up {conveniently pressing the premenopausal short-term memory lapse button and forgetting the fabric-buying moratorium!}.
