Custom Twin Size HST Quilt {A Finish!!}

My customer's choice of half-square triangles with bright fabrics was perfect!  This quilt is in memory of my customer's daughter who passed away two years ago.  She was a paramedic who loved children, as testified by the fun prints on her scrubs.

The daughter loved word finds, and my customer found the perfect backing in this Cotton + Steel print!  It has words like "CUTIE PIE" and "I LOVE YOU".  The word find fabric is the perfect weight for backing, and the letters were super easy to line up when I pieced the backing, something that can be near impossible on lesser-quality fabrics.  Another thing I really like about this fabric is the letters are printed both directions, normal and upside down, which means the fabric isn't directional and can be sewed together either way.  The word find fabric also comes in navy and bright pink.  This is the first time I have purchased a Cotton + Steel fabric, can you believe it?  It also has the cutest selvage I have ever seen!

Another quilt in which I remembered to put a label!  I'm so loving my sew-in satin labels!  It just feels special to put my personal mark on a quilt.
