A recent custom quilting project was this pretty lap quilt by Andrea in Winter Wonderland fabrics. I quilted and bound many quilts for her last year and am excited to finish even more of her quilts with my new machine Gratitude.
The little squares are sewn onto the background square with raw edges, so I bought a Glide Foot which prevents fabric edges from being flipped over and stitched down by the standard quilting foot. I will use this foot for all quilting since it glides off and back onto the quilt top as the design is stitched out without flipping the edges over in places where I don't get the tacking stitches super close to the edge of the quilt top.
Quilting is a fun swirl with a bit of a feather in cream thread. The picture of the backing below has a seam in it which I carefully matched.
This is the first use of my new Custom Quilted labels from Ikaprint! Andrea asked for these last year, and I finally got some. Of course I will always ask a customer if it's okay to attach my label to their quilt if I am also binding it and will ask them if they would like my label if they bind it themselves.
I am ready to custom quilt for you and have many design options available. I can piece backing, quilt and bind your quilt, or simply do the quilting for you. Contact me for more info.

Thanks for the info on the glide foot. I'll have to look into that. The quilting goes nicely on that pretty quilt.
I really like that quilting motif. Is it one that you made up as you went or did you find it somewhere? Thanks for sharing the pictures. --Andrea
