Phoebe's Flower Box Twin Quilt Set | Finished or Not Friday Linky Party

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Finished or Not Friday where you can share your finished {or not} projects!

Could I ask you a favor?!  Please visit some of the links below and see what others are making.  Even if you don't have time to leave a comment, they appreciate when you view their projects.

I'm gearing up for another scrap box giveaway - a large flat rate box this time - so be sure to follow Busy Hands Quilts.

My finish is a twin size Phoebe's Flower Box quilt set with matching pillow sham.

This quilt is a continuation of clearing out WIPs.  These blocks were made four years ago!  So far I've made two baby quilts, two table runner/wall hangings, and one king size quilt from this pattern in these fabrics, most of them in 2013 and 2014, and I have enough blocks for another small quilt.

I have a love/hate relationship with making matching pillow shams for a quilt.  By the time I'm done with the quilt, I'm done and ready to move on and don't feel like making the sham, but then a quilt looks so nice with a matching sham.  I've started making the pillow sham quilt top at the same time I make the quilt so I have no excuse to not finish it when the quilt is finished.

The backing is the sweetest and softest backing ever.  So disappointed that this line is being discontinued.

Quilt Stats:

Pattern:  Phoebe's Flower Box
Size:  59" x 87", twin

Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 100% cotton
Quilting:  Feathery flowers on Gratitude.
Backing:  The sweetest ever purple calico extra wide.

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

Hi Myra,
Oh, how I love the quilt you shared today! I'm not really a purple fan, but it being paired with the gray it really looks nice. I'm trying to figure out what color to use to surround some multi-colored nine-patch blocks and this may just lead me to the gray family. It seems to go well with both the lighter shades you chose as well as the darker ones. Hmmm. What to do, what to do?! Thank you so much for hosting us, and if you have any suggestions my ears are open! ~smile~ Roseanne

You must have bought out the store when you bought all that purple fabric! It is a pretty color combo and your quilt is very nice!

Such a pretty quilt Myra! I plan to be a part of your QAL too, as I already have a pattern I very nearly started for last weekend's jelly roll race. :-)

Beautiful finished quilt, and lovely quilting design!

Another lovely quilt finish, Myra! I know how you feel about making the shams after the quilt is done, but they do look so good. Maybe if you finished the shams first, then put the binding on the quilt? Either way, they do look great!

That is a very very pretty quilt. May I ask where you get your quilt labels? Thanks.
