Good Fortune Lap Quilt | Finished or Not Friday Linky Party!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Finished or Not Friday where you can share your finished {or not} projects!

My Finish is a lap size patchwork quilt in Good Fortune.  This is the last of this collection in my stash.  I am beginning to see shelves in my fabric closet again!

The pictures were taken on what hopefully wasn't the last sunny day until spring.  😨  It's really gray here in the winter which makes it difficult to take pictures of quilts.

Quilt Stats:

Pattern:  Big ol' squares.
Size:  47" x 57"
Fabric:  Good Fortune by Kate Spain
Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton/poly
Quilting:  Diagonal plaid bias on Gratitude.

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

Last week's feature!

If you want your quilt featured here next week, be sure to put a link back to this post in your post or sidebar, or tag @busyhandsquilts on Instagram, AND link directly to your blog post so I don't have to hunt it down.

I do like the quilting on this quilt, it's so effective, especially on the diagonal, lovely.

Using squares from one collection really makes for a fab patchwork quilt! Love the quilting.

Lovely. Good Fortune is my favorite collection of all time! Seriously, I just reordered some yardage to stretch it in my work as long as possible. I think you made a wonderful choice to use the fabrics charm-size fairly large to show off the gorgeous prints. I was so happy to see this collection on your site. What a great quilt and one that you must keep for yourself.

Actually, from your measurements, it looks like i'm wrong and it's not charm but cake layer sizes. Even better!

I love making quilts with just squares especially if using a fabric collection. I have a bundle of a Lila Asbury line that I've been wanting to make something with and since it's a big print, I don't want to chop it up. Your quilt has given me the inspiration to make a one patch quilt but I'll have to wait until next year so I can finish up some projects for this year. As always, your quilting is wonderful.

The quilt is lovely. The large squares really show off the fabric.
You're a brave woman. I have yards of Good Fortune in my "special" fabric cabinet. I can't bare to cut into it. I met Kate Spain at a quilting retreat in CT. She is really nice and has a great sense of humor. She even laughed when I told her I planned to be buried with my trove of Good Fortune. Of course, she backed away from me very slowly.
