Christmas Log Cabin Wreath Quilt | Finished or Not Friday Linky Party!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Island Batik Ambassadors are given monthly challenges using Island Batik fabrics, and November's assignment is log cabins.  I love log cabin quilts but actually rarely make them, so it was good to visit this timeless block again.

An internet search led me to this design, a Log Cabin Christmas Wreath.  With the generosity of Island Batik in providing fabrics for projects, I had just the right fabrics on hand for this quilt, most of them from the Alpine Jingle collection.

The Christmas Wreath quilt really needed some holiday quilting, so this beautiful holly and berries design seemed the perfect fit.  I love the white stitching on the red backing.

Inside the quilt is Hobbs Heirloom Wool batting to give the quilting more definition and also to reduce the number of fold lines since it is a wall hanging that will likely not be displayed all year long.

This quilt has a hanging sleeve attached.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Christmas Log Cabin Wreath by Jessie Fincham found in Quilt Now Issue 4.
Size:  41.5" square
Quilting:  Holly and Berries on Gratitude in white thread

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

What a festive finish, Myra! I love log cabins, too, but they are quite labor intensive. This turned out great! Happy weekend!

Hi Myra! Oooh-la-la that wreath quilt is just fabulous. I want to make it and have it finished right now for tomorrow night. It would just be perfect for the little shindig I'm attending. That quilting!!! OMG - it really makes it yet doesn't shout in your face. And the batiks - well, those are always fab. Happy Friday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne
