My apologies for not hosting Finished {or Not!} Friday last week! Around noon on Friday, I asked my kids what day of the week it was, and they said, Friday! Oh no, I completely forgot Finished {or Not!} Friday, I said. The schedule change with the Thanksgiving break had me all confuzzled! But FONF is back!
My finish is a new quilt pattern - Home Awaits! This pattern includes 6 sizes - Baby, Small and Large Laps, Twin, Queen and King - and is made from 10" squares for the smaller sizes and 10" squares and 2.5" strips for the queen and king sizes. As per my usual, this pattern includes strip piecing to speed up the process.
This quilt is too long to hang on the clothesline for an outdoor shot, so it is hanging on my living room wall. Yep, my living room wall is huge enough to hold a queen size quilt with room to spare. Here's proof.
I have ordered navy and white woven gingham fabric to make new curtains for the living room windows. These wild and crazy curtains must go.
One of my boys loved the cow canvas when I got it, so I bought him his own so he
And my daughter dislikes this fried chicken sign, so I have hung it next to where she hangs her car keys so she can see it everyday, several times a day. :) As you can tell, I have interesting tastes in living room decor. Zip zap zup... we're back out of the rabbit chicken and cow hole and back to Home Awaits!
Home Awaits is on sale at an introductory price through this weekend! You'll save in my pattern shop right over here.

I always have a quilt on the wall. It looks bare without it - nice quilt.
I just love that cow!!! An of course your quilt is fabulous! I gave your the wrong info on my layer cake. It actually came from Craftsy, but I looked and they don't have it any longer.
Thanks for the shout out, Myra! Your new quilt is lovely, and I like those bright curtains. Everybody needs a change now and then, though. Have a great weekend!
You have a fun sense of style!! Love it! And glad you are back on track - ha ha - that vacation stuff always messes me up too!
Really like this pattern!
I love having a quilt on the wall. The one behind my longarm I change out the most, well besides my little seasonal wall hangings. But several rooms in my house have wall quilts. Great new pattern, love the larger sqs. for showcasing some larger prints.
Good luck on your new patter, the quilt is lovely. Thank you for the linky party. Denise @fortheloveofgeese
I must disagree with your daughter - I LOVE that chicken sign! It would fit perfectly in my kitchen along with my "love you more than beans and cornbread" sign!! LOL
Congrats on the new pattern. It looks great.
I love the new design, what a great way to highlight some love prints.
Myra,
Of course I have been living under a rock. That is why I am just now seeing this. Thank you so much for featuring my quilt. It makes me smile and warms my heart. Congratulations on the new pattern. Fried chicken??? Now,I am craving some crunchy, salty, juicy and meaty goodness. Hope you are having a lovely day.
Hugs,
Preeti.
