Freshly Picked Quilted Table Runner | Finished {or Not!} Friday Linky Party + GIVEAWAY!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Finished {or Not!} Friday where you can share what you're working on and see what others have been making!

My apologies for not posting Finished {or Not!} Friday last week; time just got away from me.

My Finish is a Freshly Picked table runner made from a charm pack!  The charm pack and pattern were included in the September 2017 Sew Sampler Box.  Wouldn't you say it had aged enough and was ready to be sewn?!?  Yep, I think so too.

A charm pack and some yardage are all it takes to make this generously sized quilted table runner.  One would normally think of pairing The Good Life with white, but I had this lovely minty fabric begging to be used, so it won out.  Plus, I'm not that fond of putting white on a table runner that should, by all means, be used.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Freshly Picked
Size:  22" x 54"
Fabric:  The Good Life by Bonnie & Camille for Moda and Winter Mint Solid by Connecting Threads
Quilting: Daisies in multiple sizes on Gratitude
Binding:  Winter Mint

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop right over here!

Giveaway!  Giveaway is Closed.  Kathleen is the winner!

When I finish the project in a Sew Sampler Box, I give away the items in the box that I don't need.  The Farmer's Market box from September of 2017 included so many good things that I kept!  There was a charm pack of The Good Life by Bonnie & Camille, a The Good Life tin with window, a Matchbox quilt kit, a Quilt Popsocket Device Media Stand, the Freshly Picked Table Runner Pattern, and a Basket Block #6 recipe card.  You can see what was in the box right over here.

Today I am giving away the Matchbox Quilt Kit and the Basket Block #6 recipe card.  The box will be flattened for cheaper shipping.  US addresses only.  To enter, leave a comment on this blog post, telling me your favorite size of quilt to make.  A winner will be chosen at random.  Giveaway ends Monday, June 10th.  Stop back by to see who wins!

Hi Myra! It's like you are reading my mind today. I have a pretty fall-themed charm pack that I just picked up and was thinking about looking for a charm pack-friendly table runner pattern. I love that you used the minty fabric - I wouldn't want to use white for a table runner for the same reason. I just love how you quilted this runner as well. It's just nice and happy looking. I would say my favorite size of quilt to make would be a baby quilt. That size project seems to hold my interest just long enough to complete them, while the bigger bed sizes just take too long to complete - especially the quilting. ~smile~ Roseanne

I love the green background in the table runner, makes it look vintage. I guess it kind of is vintage, lol. Table runners and place mats have never been on my to-do list, I prefer lap size of larger. For quilting I like the lap size because I can load 4 or 5 yards of backing on the frame and quilt 2 from the same yardage. It saves a lot of time and eliminates the need to load more backing.

I wish I could say king or queen size but, those really seem like a marathon.
so , I like to make a large lap-- less than twin size-- they take a while but are easily done from start to finish-- quick enough not to get overwhelmed or bored. But, big enough to have something substantial to show for my time

My favorite size quilt to make is 128" x 128" - which means its for our bed! Since I give away about 99% of what I make, rarely does a quilt get made for our bed. Thank you for the giveaway! Deb E / CA,

I love making lap quilts because they are easier to quilt when it's all said and done. I just finished quilting a large twin and it nearly killed me!! Runners are always fun to make and quilt as well.

I enjoy making baby/toddler size quilts 42" square as they are so fun and lots of pattern ideas out there for them.

I love to make baby quilts! They are fun and quick, and knowing they will snuggle a baby makes them the best!

Definitely aged enough! Hmm, if a few years are aged, then my stash is ancient. Time to call in the archaeologists!

Throw quilts are my favorite! And a PopSocket phone stand...that sounds intriguing! I'm looking for a new PopSocket right now, so I'll try to hunt one of those down to look at it!

Hmmmm, that's a tough question. I like doing all sizes of quilts, especially now that I have my own longarm quilter (!). But I do enjoy whipping up a quick baby quilt on the weekend if I get a chance.

That's a great runner. Mint was a good choice for the background.

I really enjoy making baby/crib-sized quilts. They seem just right for completing in a reasonable time and I can handle the quilting on my domestic machine with no problem!

I like to make lap size quilts as the smaller size makes it easier for me to quilt.

I love your runner. The colors you used are just beautiful. I like making throw sized quilts. They go faster, and aren't as expensive to make.

Great runner, the prints and quilting are beautiful.

I really like making baby quilts, but I mostly make lap sized around 72 by 72 inches...

I generally make twin sized quilts for donation. They are small enough that I can quilt them myself.

Love your runner, the fabric colors & quilting are just wonderful! As I am sewing on a domestic machine, lap top size quilts are my favorite make! Thank you, Susan

I am all about utility and function. So I make bed size quilts. But I have made several wall hangings. I marvel at how much you get done!!

Hi, Myra! Thanks for Finished (or not) Friday. I really appreciate your hosting this linky party for all of us, as it's so much fun to see what everybody makes.
My favorite size quilt to make is baby sized, partly because I can quilt it myself. I can try out all kind of ideas and scraps in this size, too.
Have a lovely weekend!
