Today I'm sharing a Through My Windows star quilt I made this summer! This cute star quilt is sewn up with Painterly Petals, a bold watercolor fabric collection by Robert Kaufman with a Nautical Kona background and pindot sashing.

Painterly Petals Fabrics
These bright and bold watercolor fabrics are from an older Painterly Petals fabric collection by Robert Kaufman. I thought this fabric collection was no longer available, but one of my readers shared that RK has release an updated Painterly Petals collection. It's available right here.
The backing fabric is also from the Painterly Petals fabric collection. The sashing and binding is a Pindot fabric, and the background is Kona Nautical.
Precut Friendly
Through My Window is so very stash friendly - use 5" charm squares, 10" layer cake squares, or fat quarters. The instructions include how to cut each one to make this quilt pattern, and if you don't have any of these precuts, just use your stash and cut the number of pieces in the size indicated in the pattern - easy peasy! It's a perfect scrappy quilt pattern!

Beginner Friendly Quilt Pattern
This quilt pattern is beginner friendly, if you have a few quilts under your belt. My patterns aren't true beginner friendly because they don't walk you through how to cut fabric or sew a 1/4" seam, but if you have just a little experience, you can make this quilt.

Longarm Machine Quilting
This star quilt is quilted with Ribbon Curls, a really nice swirling design, on my HandiQuilter Fusion with Pro-Stitcher in navy thread which blends in well with the quilt top and the backing.
