Today I'm excited to share a Grid Pop quilt in the King size! It is BIG and so bright and happy! The Grid Pop quilt pattern is easy to make, with great results. The pattern includes 8 sizes and is jelly roll and fat quarter friendly.
The Grid Pop quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.
Grid Pop Pattern Features
The Grid Pop quilt pattern is jelly roll and fat quarter friendly. The Throw size is made with one jelly roll or 12 fat quarters. You could even use a jelly roll for the sashing if you want. You'll love that everything is strip pieced and goes together very quickly.
Bright and Bold Fabrics!
This quilt is made with Venice by Robert Kaufman. The fabrics are bright and bold florals and leaf designs, and the fabric is extra smooth and soft beyond most quilting fabrics. It's perfectly paired with Confetti Cotton in Bright White by Riley Blake Designs.
The backing and binding are made with a print from the Venice collection.
Venice fabric is available here on Etsy.
Longarm Machine Quilting
The digital quilting design used on this quilt is Heart Song by Melissa of Sew Shabby Pantos. It's the perfect blend of echoed hearts and swirls. Longarm quilted in white thread on a Bernina Q-matic.
Inside the quilt are two layers of batting - Hobbs Tuscany 100% Wool and Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 Cotton/Poly. These two layers make this quilt perfect for almost year-round use, except in the dog days of summer. :)
This quilt was made in its entirety by Kare Ybarra. Didn't she do an awesome job?!
The Grid Pop design came about when I was playing with a carton of 5-dozen eggs. This design popped out at me, so I took it to EQ8, my quilt design software, and the magic happened when blocks were joined together, and Grid Pop was designed!
The Grid Pop quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts shop.
