Next up on my custom order schedule is a twin-sized rainbow Strip-N-Flip using Cluck Cluck Sew's pattern. My customer provided all of the fabric, and I am happy to sew quilts with customer-supplied fabrics when it is new quilt-shop quality fabrics.
There are 44 strips in all, equalling 88" to run the entire length of the quilt. There will be white borders on the side to increase it to twin size, plus the flipped section with white edges.
I learned a method for keeping strips straight in a Craftsy class. It's found in
Strip Your Stash. Works like a charm for keeping strips straight even before ironing them and after. My customer is wondering about using a tone-on-tone white dot rather than solid white for the flip strips and edge border. I laid them out and took a picture to let her decide. At Busy Hands Quilts, custom quilts are made to the customer's specifications every step of the way.
This quilt is a custom quilt in my Etsy shop, Busy Hands Quilts.
