2015 A Lovely Year of Finishes {My January Goal}

This year I plan to follow along with 2015 A Lovely Year of Finishes hosted by Sew BitterSweet Designs and Fiber of All Sorts.

My January goal is to complete this Simply Style Lap Quilt.  I have long-arm quilted it using semi-wavy lines side to side.  Mrs.Singer had trouble when I first began quilting, so those rows need taken out and re-stitched, and then the quilt needs bound.  This was the first time I had done semi-wavy lines rather than an allover meander, and it took me a few rows to realize why she was hiccuping so much.  GRRR!  I finally realized she hiccuped when I had her stitch what she considers backwards, which is left to right.  Once I started stitching only from right to left, she had no problems at all.  I'll be picking stitches, re-quilting and binding this beauty by the end of January!

This quilt was first mentioned on my blog here

Hi there, can you tell me about your longarm set up? I have a Tin Lizzie Longarm that I HATE and would love to just use my vintage singer like that. Thanks!
