Spangled Stars QAL {A Finish!!}

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

I've finished my wall hanging for the Spangled Stars Quilt Along!  The "star" colors were changed to look like flowers.  I also changed the orientation of the striped blocks in the top and bottom rows to horizontal so they look like they encircle the quilt more.

Quilt Stats:
  • Pattern:  Spangled Stars
  • Size:  39" square
  • Fabric:  Kona solids
  • Batting:  80/20 fusible
  • Backing/Binding:  Seaside Cottage by Heather Mulder Peterson for Anka's Treasures.  Binding double fold, attached by machine.
  • Quilting:  Allover meandering stitch in aqua thread on Mrs.Bernina, my old 830.
  • Label:  Quilt Labels at Ikaprint.

Here are some amazing deals at Craftsy's sale!

Craftsy

That's 80 - 6.5" triangles.

Please don't buy all of the brights - I want them!  Last week I bought 5 sets each of the Classic and Bright palettes, and now they are even less than I paid!  I plan to combine these two sets with each other to make the Postcard from Sweden quilt!  It's a free pattern on Craftsy!  It will go together in a snap!

Best Press Starch   I used an entire bottle on the GRAVITY Quilt!

Craftsy's 2014 BOM Quilt Kit  $39.07 for 10 yards of fabric!
Regularly $130.

Moda's Miss Kate Turnover Quilt Kit  9 yards of fabric!

These are a very tiny sampling of what's on sale at Craftsy through June 21st!  There are lots more quilt kits, fabrics, and notions, not to mention yarn and other crafting items for which Craftsy is famous!

Oh, the quilt looks fabulous! You've done a great job, and I'm glad you've made it your own. I got my second top pieced, to also look like flowers, and it's on the frame right now. Shop hopping this morning, so hopefully some quilting this afternoon, and a post.

Your share is adorable. Such fun colors and a cute back. I placed a big Craftsy order the other day. Now I want to go back and get those Kona bundles. That Postcards from Sweden quilt always grabs my attention.

Hi, Myra! I love what you've done with your Spangled Star. Turning the stripes was perfect for this smaller version. It just wouldn't look right the other way.
