I was super excited to find this Singer Manufacturing Co. tin tray at the secondhand store this week! I long-arm quilt with Mrs.Singer, an antique 31-15 mounted on a long-arm quilting frame, so I knew I had to buy it the moment I saw it. In fact, I don't think I even knew how much I paid for it until I got home because I don't remember looking while at the store, and that is SO out of character for me! Fortunately it was a great price!
The tray measures approx 14" in diameter. I hung the tray on my sewing room wall with Command Poster Strips, using four strips. The tray is lightweight, and I am confident the strips will hold it tight. Though if you hear me SHRIEK, the tray may have fallen down and scared the bejeebers out of me! I'm really hoping it doesn't happen in the night since my sewing room is in the master bedroom, and it would be most terribly awful if the Mr. also had the bejeebers scared out of him!
Through the years of hanging posters on the walls, these are by far the best strips I've found. They stick very well - the world map on the wall in the staircase has been there since we started homeschooling ten years ago, without replacing any of the Command hanging strips during that time! When I've taken posters down, I've always found the strips really are removable as they claim, without leaving a trace on the wall.
