Twin Regatta Quilt | Finished or Not Friday Linky Party!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Finished or Not Friday where you can share your finished {or not} projects!

My Finish is a twin size Regatta quilt, begun in January as part of the Regatta Sew Along over at Homesewn By Us!

Well, this isn't exactly a Regatta quilt. In lieu of having so many leftover strips, I switched up the pattern and increased it to a twin.

The quilt graduates to dark gray and purples on both ends. My apologies for not having a picture of the entire quilt. It was just too windy for pictures on the clothesline, and I don't have any twin size beds to lay it on.

The quilting really surprised me, as I wasn't 100% certain in my decision until after quilting a few rows. I love how it turned out!

The batting is a Fat Quarter Shop exclusive batting, 50/50 cotton/poly.  It was lovely to quilt with, and the higher polyester content gave the quilt a bit more loft than the usual 80/20 batting I use.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Regatta, sorta.
Size:  66" x 84"
Fabric:  Benartex Gradations and Kona White.
Batting:  Happy Cloud 50/50 cotton poly, a Fat Quarter Shop exclusive.
Quilting:  Greek Squared on Gratitude in white thread.
Backing and Binding:  Boundless Blenders Aura in Gray

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

I can't believe I'm the first one to link up this week! That NEVER happens! I need to SEIZE this magical day because surely now I can accomplish ANYTHING... Silliness aside -- I love your Regatta-ish quilt with the ombre strips. And I'm so glad you included that one photo of the quilt where I can see the secondary checkerboard texture that this quilting pattern creates -- Greek keys when you look at the quilt dead-on, but when you view the quilt from an angle the shadows of quilting lines in different directions create something different. Did you quilt this on a longarm machine? With or without computer? It's really lovely!

Wow, this quilt is gorgeous. I love your quilting! If I could get even one Greek key so perfect I'd be thrilled. There are so many things about this quilt that I like. Maybe the clean lines and white background are my favorite, but those gorgeous colors and great quilting are beautiful, too!
