Today I'm sharing a new quilt pattern called Mirage!  This fast and easy quilt pattern is made with Moda Grunge Seeing Stars fabrics.

Mirage is in the Busy Hands Quilts shop right here.

Moda Grunge Mirage Quilt

This Mirage quilt is made with Moda Grunge Seeing Stars in cream, taupes, gray, and black (those aren't the exact Grunge names), just their general shades.  This quilt will look fantastic in any colorway you choose.  :)

Fabric Collection Ideas for Mirage

There are so many current fabric collections out now that will work for Mirage because they have four to five hues in a single colorway and read as solids but have texture which adds depth.  Of course Moda Grunge in Seeing Stars, Hits the Spot, and regular Grunge all work fantastically.  I'm loving Grunge, and it seems to be my go-to collection right now.  Solids would work just as well.

Here are some fabric collections that I found at Fat Quarter Shop and Etsy.

Quick and Easy Quilt Pattern

Mirage is a super quick and easy quilt pattern.  This is a great pattern for gift quilts, or last-minute quilts that you simply don't have a lot of time to assemble.  Even better if you know the recipient's favorite color!  After you make one, you'll probably be thinking about the color you want to use in the next one.  :)

All the Sizes!

The Mirage quilt pattern includes all the sizes - 5 in all - Baby, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King.  I enjoy doing the math, so I've figured it all out for you, easy peasy.  :)  And you'll love having a quilt pattern with so many size options.

Mirage

Mirage is so named because it, well, looks like a mirage!  Perhaps it's even more noticeable in person than in pictures.  This quilt top was made by Kare, and I was surprised when I first saw it that it looks like way more than five fabrics are included.  But no, it's just five fabrics.

Longarm Quilting

I used a Maze digital design on my HandiQuilter Fusion with ProStitcher to quilt this Mirage quilt.  Tan thread was used to blend in the most with the quilt top and the backing.  I try to purchase backing that is the same color as the thread I plan to use in the quilting process, and this Seeing Star extra-wide backing worked perfectly!

Binding Love!

This quilt is bound with Moda Grunge Seeing Stars in black to give it a crisp finish.  It's the same fabric that's in the quilt top.  Double fold, attached by machine for durability.
