I am so excited to introduce this new modern quilt design with you called Market Square.  This is an easy quilt pattern that is designed to showcase your favorite fabrics and scraps!  This the Lap size using the Freedom Garden fabric collection by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake Designs.

Market Square works perfectly for a fast summertime quilt in red, white, and blue.  Imagine this design as a picnic blanket with a dark sashing to hide grass stains.  :)

Market Square features a quick and easy design that is perfect for using up your precuts or scrap stash.  Use 5" squares, 10" squares, or fat quarters to create a unique and striking quilt that speaks to you!  The design uses easy, simple piecing to help you make the quilt of your dreams.

This pattern is great for a beginner quilter with some previous knowledge of how to sew.  With no triangles or curves, this simple design is a great way to learn more about quilting.

Freedom Garden Fabric by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake Designs

The fabric collection that I used to make this finished Market Square quilt is called Freedom Market by  My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake Designs.  This stunning fabric includes an assortment of flowers, stars, and other unique designs in red, white, and blues.  This gives the quilt a whimsical and spirited touch that I just adore!  Market Square in the Large Throw size would make an excellent quilt for the Quilt of Valor program.  It would even make a stunning and sentimental gift for your favorite military person or veteran!

Longarm Machine Quilting

This quilt was longarm machine quilted in the Shooting Star design by Barbara Becker, purchased at Intelligent Quilting.  It was quilted on my Handi Quilter Amara with Pro Stitcher in Superior Omni Natural White thread.  It's my go-to design for patriotic quilts, and I love how the loops soften all of the square blocks.

This quilt top was made by my sewist, Kare Ybarra, and quilted and bound by me.

The design uses easy, simple piecing to help get your quilt made in no time at all!  Rated for beginner quilters with a knowledge of how to sew a straight line, you can make this!

Beautiful Fabrics

The fabric collection used to make this finished Market Square quilt is called Timber by Moda Fabrics.  These fabrics are so sweet as a modern baby quilt.  I've been saving this pile of squares for just the right baby quilt pattern, and finally found it in Market Square!  I made this quilt in the adorable Baby size, and I just love how it turned out!  The fabric is an assortment of leaves and shapes in fall colors that give the quilt a nature-like feel.

The backing fabric is Widescreen in Gray by Carolyn Friedlander for Robert Kaufman which was leftover from a previous quilt.  It's the perfect modern backing to complement the front, and it's getting very difficult to find.  We do have Widescreen in Niagra in the shop right here.

Longarm Machine Quilting

The modern quilting design is Hex Marks the Spot, one of my favorite designs for creating a really soft and pliable quilt.  It's perfect for a cozy baby quilt.  Quilted on my Handi Quilter Amara with Pro Stitcher in Superior Omni White Thread.

Today is a great day to introduce my newest quilt pattern called Market Square!  Market Square is an easy quilt pattern designed to showcase your favorite fabrics and scraps in an offset pattern.

This quilt top was made by Kare Ybarra and quilted and bound by me in the Ribbon Curl digital quilting design on my Handi Quilter Amara with Pro Stitcher in Superior Omni Thread in Natural White.  I love the round curling ribbon design softening the harshness of all of the squares.

Oh that sweet Berry Market Fabric!

The fabric collection used to make this Market Square quilt is called Berry Market by Beverly McCullough for Riley Blake Designs.  I made this quilt in the Throw size, and I just love how the it turned out!  The fabric is an assortment of flowers, stars, strawberries, and more in soft, soothing pinks, mints, red, and stargazer (deep teal).  This quilt was made with a layer cake of Berry Market, and the backing and binding are also prints from the collection.
