A Note About the Border

Fabric collections are designed almost a year before they are shipped to fabric shops, and designing quilt kits for a fabric collection happens fairly early in the long process.  Since the time this quilt kit was mocked up for Connecting Threads and the quilt kits were finalized, the Summer on the Porch quilt pattern has been updated with a narrow border in all quilt sizes.  The quilt pattern available in my shop includes this border, but the quilt kit and pattern available at Connecting Threads does not include this border.

Nautical News Throw Quilt in Briar Hollow!

The Nautical News quilt pattern has been kitted in the Throw size in a beautiful autumn shades of green, smooth peach, and warm terracotta in charming florals, classic stripes, and a cheater print.

The Throw size quilt is made following the Twin size and omitting the wide outer border.  This quilt uses 35 of the 40 squares included in the 10" square stack, and the quilt kit includes instructions on which squares to leave out to recreate this quilt.
