Looking Ahead to the next Quilt Along - Postcard From Sweden!

I am planning on hosting a Postcard From Sweden Quilt Along after the first of the year!  I've already made a Postcard quilt in queen size {view here}, but maybe you need some encouragement to learn new skills and make a beautiful quilt.  Let's make one together!  And if the original colors don't suit you, there are lots of solid and blender options available in the Boundless line at Craftsy that would look beautiful in Postcard From Sweden!

Today's Step

I had never made a Trip Around the World quilt, and I learned a lot from this pattern; it was very well written.  It gave me the confidence to make the custom ombre TATW baby quilt I completed last week, in which I changed the size of the squares, the number of fabrics, and the overall size.  EQ7 helped with this, and I was able to give my customer an idea of what it would look like with the changes.

This step we're finishing our quilts!  I did not remove the extra row as instructed in the pattern.

Quilting on my TATW is stitch in the ditch using Superior Mono Poly thread.  I couldn't figure out how to quilt it using the skills I have without detracting from the quilt, so stitch in the ditch it was, and I ♥ it!  The backing is a beautiful Essential Gradations print which I'll show you at the Finished Quilt Grand Parade on December 5th.

Winner!

Yeah to Shannon of The Flemings Nine, the winner from the link-up in the previous step!  It's her turn since there are only two entries!

A winner, chosen at random, will receive a PDF quilt pattern from Busy Hands Patterns!

I wasn't sure if your link up is for any quilts or only the quilts for your quilt along - if I wasn't supposed to post feel free to delete and let me know so I won't do it again :)
