Scrappy Goodness Throw Quilt in Sunday Stroll by Bonnie and Camille!

Today I'm sharing a happy, scrappy Scrappy Goodness quilt!  This easy scrap quilt features diamonds of chains in a contrasting fabric which is echoed across the whole quilt.

The fabrics in this quilt are from the Sunday Stroll fabric collection by Bonnie and Camille for Moda Fabrics.  The timeless mix of large and small florals, dots, stripes, ginghams in the red, navy, aqua, pink and green that Bonnie and Camille are known for, is perfect for Scrappy Goodness!

The Scrappy Goodness quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts pattern shop.

Scrappy Goodness Quilt Pattern

The Scrappy Goodness quilt pattern is an easy quilt pattern that came out last year.  It's a quick jelly roll quilt pattern that looks great in pretty much any fabrics you choose.  Accent diamonds in a contrasting color create movement across the quilt top.  This is achieved by using more than one quilt block design.  The accent fabric in this quilt is the navy with tiny white dots fabric in the Sunday Stroll collection.

Sometimes jelly rolls that include both lighter and darker fabrics are harder to use in quilt patterns, and some of the strips are left out.  The different hues are no problem for Scrappy Goodness; they'll all look great!

If you don't have jelly rolls, no problem!  You can cut the number of required strips from fat quarters, yardage, or your scrap bins.  The pattern is written with the strips cut in half, so your scraps only need to be 21"+ long.  A FQ will yield (7) 21" strips.  Note that the number of strips listed in the Quilt Stats on the pattern cover is WOF strips, not 21" strips, so multiple that number by 2 to find out how many 21" strips you'll need.

Strip Pieced Quilt Pattern

Strip piecing really speeds up the quilting process, so it is included in my patterns whenever possible.  Life is about making more quilts, so let's make them faster!

You won't be sewing together individual squares in this pattern, no way, no how.  This design is created by sewing together strips of fabrics, doing a happy dance, spinning around, and then the block appears.  Really, it's that easy!

The Scrappy Goodness quilt pattern includes pressing instructions so . every . single . seam in the quilt nests!  Feel free to pin zip, zero, nada seams if you like - that's the way I roll.  :)

All the Quilt Sizes

The Scrappy Goodness quilt pattern includes instructions for 5 sizes:

    Baby size

Throw size (this quilt is the Throw size)

    Twin size Bed

    Queen size Bed

    King size Bed

The pattern has you covered no matter what size you're planning to make, and you'll probably use it multiple times, too!

Longarm Quilting and Finishing

The sweet quilting design is an echoed hearts design in white thread, completed on my HandiQuilter Fusion with ProStitcher.

The backing fabric is Kaufman Spot On in Pond which coordinates perfectly with the Sunday Stroll collection.

The binding is the navy with tiny white dots from the Sunday Stroll collection.  Oh, I love plaids, ginghams, stripes and dots for quilt bindings!

The Scrappy Goodness quilt pattern is available in the Busy Hands Quilts pattern shop.
