Rosewood Lane Quilt Pattern Update!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

It's Rosewood Lane's turn for an update!  Last year most of my pattern covers were updated, some patterns were also overhauled inside, and I'm down to the last few needing updated.  Now there are only three pattern covers awaiting updating - Home Awaits, Picket Fence, and Falling Stars.

Joyce of Liberty Green Quilt Shop in Akron, Ohio has been a consistent wholesale customer of my quilt patterns.  She requested printed copies of Rosewood Lane after seeing the Rosewood Lane in Anna Maria Horner fabrics that sold in my quilt shop last year and requested an AMH quilt for her shop with pattern covers to match.  Your wish is my command, Joyce!

Here is a picture of part of the Liberty Green Quilt Shop.  Do you recognize any of my quilts hanging there?!?  YES!  I spy Jelly Roll Waves in Alison Glass and a brick quilt in Alison Glass fabrics (no pattern for that one) next to each other on the back wall.  There are more quilts in my patterns hanging around her shop and a display full of my patterns, too.  One of my readers sent me a picture of the pattern display, but I can't seem to find it.  I love it when you send me pics of my designs you see when you're in quilt shops!

Rosewood Lane is a fat quarter friendly quilt pattern that includes 5 sizes - Baby, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King.  The big blocks go together very quickly, and there are no seams to match.  The pattern has been completely rewritten in addition to the updated cover.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Rosewood Lane, available right here.
Size:  56" x 70"
Fabric:  Anna Maria Horner (older collection) plus a few Allison Glass prints, quilt top and binding
Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton/poly
Backing:  A black and charcoal gray hatch
Quilting:  Maze on Gratitude, my Handi Quilter Fusion with ProStitcher

Welcome to Finished {or Not!} Friday where you can share what you're working on and see what others have been making!

Finished {or Not!} Friday is back!  My Finish is a Rosewood Lane lap quilt in True Colors, one of my favorite fabric collections!  I love the colors and designs in this collection!

Rosewood Lane includes 6 sizes from wall hanging to king and is fat quarter friendly.

I am in love with this quilt and have enough blocks left to make a queen size quilt for my bedroom!  I rarely keep quilts I make, so you know how very much I ♥♥♥ this one!  It's just so bright and happy!

Quilt Stats:
Pattern:  Rosewood Lane
Size:  54" x 70", large lap size
Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton poly
Backing:  Honestly, I don't know!  I'm writing this post away from home, so I can't go look at the selvage!
Quilting:  Maze on Gratitude in gray thread

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

I've made Rosewood Lane four times now, two of them with completely random fabric placement, and two of them with the same fabric in opposite corners of each block.  Here are the other three!

Busy Hands Quilts' Best of 2018 Quilts!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

2018 was a super busy year for me.  Sixty quilts made their way from an idea and fabric to a completed quilt.  I have many favorites among them so deciding how to narrow them down to 5 quilts took some thought.

My Best of 2018 list includes goals that I met in 2018.

Printed Patterns!

Diamond Dance was the first quilt pattern I had printed.

Wholesale Quilt Patterns!

Picket Fence was my first pattern sold wholesale.  I now have 9 patterns selling wholesale to quilt shops.

Craftsy's 2018 Quilt Along!

Can you imagine my surprise and delight when my quilt design, Glorious Dawn, was selected as Craftsy's 2018 Quilt Along?!?  A dream come true!  This is Glorious Dawn in Botanical Hydrangea,  the quilt I made for the pattern.  It's a queen size at 94" square.  The quilt kit comes in 3 colorways in 3 different sizes each.

New Patterns!

Most Stunning Quilt I Made in 2018!

Whirl is a paper pieced quilt pattern.  While I didn't enjoy the process of making the quilt because I struggle with the visualization part of paper piecing, the quilt is truly stunning.  This quilt sold in my quilt shop.

My Favorite Quilt of 2018!

A Rosewood Lane lap quilt in True Colors.  I went OOC (that's Out Of Control) when making the blocks and have enough blocks left to make a queen size quilt and a baby or lap quilt!  I will be making a queen size for our bedroom this winter.  Rosewood Lane is a pattern of mine that comes in 6 sizes from wall hanging to king and is Fat Quarter friendly.

Thanks for taking this trip down memory lane with me!  If you'd like to see every quilt I made in 2018 in one place, hop over to my Instagram feed, where I've been featuring the 60 quilts I made in 2018.  You do NOT need an Instagram account to look at them.

Twin Rosewood Lane Quilt | Finished or Not Friday Linky Party

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Finished or Not Friday where you can share your finished {or not} projects!

My finish is a Rosewood Lane Twin XL quilt in Strawberry Fizz.  This is a quick pattern for an "organized" scrappy quilt.

This is a twin XL at 98" long.  Lands alive!  I made extra blocks and intended to use them for a baby quilt but just kept adding rows to the quilt without counting. I realized my mistake before quilting it, but forgot to take them off and even made the batting in the larger size without noticing.  So twin XL it is!

Aren't the tiny strawberries and flowers just adorable?!?  I love the mix of tiny checks in there as well.  This is Strawberry Fizz, one of Craftsy's new fabric collections.

Quilt Stats:

Pattern:   Rosewood Lane, pattern available here.
Size:  Twin XL (extra long), approx 70" x 98"
Fabric:  Strawberry Fizz from Craftsy.
Quilting:  Loopy daisies on Gratitude.
Batting:  Hobbs Heirloom 100% Cotton
Backing:  Extra wide tiny pink/red circles on white from Red Rooster.

This quilt is for sale in my quilt shop!

I have some exciting news to share with you!!  I have begun purchasing quilt backing at wholesale by the bolt for quilts I make and am now selling the extra in my pattern shop at excellent prices!  Here are the fabrics listed so far.  Check it out HERE!

It's your turn to share your finish {or not}!  What's welcome at this party?

  • Projects from this week only.

Rosewood Lane Lap Quilt + Finished or Not Friday {a Linky Party!} + Giveaway!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Finished or Not Friday where you can share your finished {or not} projects!

I finished a lap quilt in my Rosewood Lane pattern, this one in itty bitty flower prints in country colors.  These blocks have been sitting around waiting to be assembled into a quilt top for about a year.  Hurrah for UFOs being finished!

The backing is a Butterscotch & Roses print by Fig Tree Quilts that I have hoarded for more years than I want to admit.  Sweeter than sweet!

This quilt is for sale in my Etsy shop shop!

I love this pattern because it looks scrappy but is made from one block that is quick to assemble.  It comes with instructions for 6 sizes from wall hanging to king.  It's for sale in my Craftsy shop and Etsy pattern shop.  You will receive a discount when you purchase more than one pattern in my Etsy shop by purchasing the discount listing.

I'm giving away the leftover scraps from this quilt.  The picture doesn't really show how many are there.  Open to US addresses only.  Please leave a comment on this blog post to enter to win.  Winner will be announced at next week's Finished or Not Friday party.

This week's feature from last week's linky party is this gorgeous 16-patch quilt from Katy Quilts!

It's your turn to share your finish {or not}!  What's welcome at this party?  Any in-progress or finished project made with fabric, yarn, or thread is welcome!  Include the Finished or Not Friday button or a text link that links back to this week's link-up in order to share the fun.  No, I won't delete your link if you don't, but hey, adding a link in your post is just being friendly, so be friendly and share!!

I will pin your links to my Finished or Not Friday Pinterest board to get your link more exposure.

Rosewood Lane {Lori's Quilt in My Pattern!} + Win This Pattern!

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

Somewhere I came across this Rosewood Lane quilt made by Lori.  My apologies, Lori, I do not remember where I saw it to give you credit!  This shows the pattern works well with a couple of prints mixed with a few solids.

Rosewood Lane is available for purchase in my shop!  The pattern includes instructions for 6 sizes from wall hanging to king and uses fat quarters.  It would also be easy to substitute yardage.

You can win 5 of my PDF quilt patterns during The Road Home Row Along over at Tweety Loves Quilting, September 13-20!  Go HERE to view my quilt patterns and go HERE to enter to win!
