Boo!  Another spectacular Blessings quilt that I am so excited to share with you - this one in Halloween fabrics!  Blessings is my latest quilt pattern that is quick and easy, and fat quarter friendly.  This is one of FIVE finished quilts that I made with this pattern.  As I like to say, just let that girl sew!

Scary Good Fabrics

Looking for something a little more spooky to work with?  Blessings is the perfect design to use for making a festive quilt for any holiday season!  I made this quilt in the Throw size using a blend of Halloween prints from various fabric collections with many of the prints from the Beggar's Night collection by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs.  A number of the prints glow in the dark!

This design allows you to show your creativity, so I encourage you to use your own mix of your favorite bold and beautiful scraps to create your Blessings quilt.  Mixing lights with medium and dark hued fabrics works perfectly in the Blessings pattern.

I'm giving you so many options for you to work with - all bed sizes worked out except the Full size.  For the Blessings design, there are 6 sizes in all - Baby, Throw, Twin, Square Queen, Rectangle Queen, and King.  I've done all of the math for you to create this perfectly symmetrical quilt.  :)

You and Me, that's the dream

This quilt was made in the Twin size using the You and Me fabric collection by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs.  This is such a sweet and charming design filled with hearts, flowers, and intricate designs in red, pink, and aqua hues.  The details are simply exquisite!  The background is Confetti Cotton Solid in Cloud, and the binding and backing are prints from the collection.

The longarm quilting design I used for this quilt is Heart to Heart in Superior Omni Natural White thread.  This was quilted on my HandiQuilter Amara with ProStitcher.  

The quilt top was made by Joanne Hubbard and quilted and bound by me.

Celebrate With Blessings!

For this quilt, I chose the bright and cheerful Celebrate fabric collection by Sue Daley for Riley Blake Designs, paired with Confetti Cotton Solid White and a lime green print from my stash for the binding since I didn't stock any yardage of this fabric.  Blessings would be the perfect pattern for creating a quilt to give to someone special for their birthday, anniversary, or just because!

This is a fun collection in blues, yellows, pinks, greens, orange with white accents, with bubbles and other geometric designs.

The backing is a wide back print called Effervescence in Aqua, available in the shop right here.

Longarm Machine Quilting

The longarm quilting design I used for this quilt is Double Bubble #2 by Patricia Ritter for Urban Elementz in Superior Omni White thread.  This was quilted on my HandiQuilter Amara with ProStitcher.  This design stitches out nicely with no overlapping stitching and the rows nest easily.

Journey Quilt Pattern - a Throw Quilt in Faraway Florals!

I am very pleased to share our latest quilt design with you!  Meet Journey, a modern quilt design that is perfect for allowing your favorite prints to shine!  This is the perfect pattern for you to sit back and quilt your troubles away with.

This pattern is fat quarter friendly and includes 9 sizes.  It is the second quilt pattern in our new Donation Quilt Series which features quick and easy designs with large blocks and easy piecing, so you can make more quilts to donate to those in need.

Such Lovely Fabrics

This unique and inspiring quilt was made using the Faraway Florals fabric collection.  I just love using bright floral designs in my quilts because they make the finished quilt look elegant and pop at the same time!  This quilt turned out so lovely, that I knew I couldn't just stop at one!  There are four more finished Journey quilts all using their own unique fabrics!

The background fabric is Kona Cotton Julep, the Kona Cotton Color of the Year for 2023.  It is a super sweet mint color, but it sure is hard to rightly represent it in photographs!  We sell Kona Julep in our shop right here.

Journey on!

Journey is the second official quilt pattern I created for the Donation Quilt Series that showcases quilt designs that use fewer fabrics with large blocks and allow for quick and easy piecing so that you can make many more donation quilts at a faster rate.

The Journey design uses an efficient piecing method to help you eliminate fabric waste.  The design is also Fat Quarter and 1/4-yard friendly, so you'll be able to finish your quilt in no time!

9 Sizes Available

As you know, I love to spoil you with different size options to choose from.  The Journey quilt pattern includes a total of 9 sizes - Baby, Lap, Throw, Large Throw, Twin, Full, Square Queen, Rectangular Queen, and King.  The math is already done for you, making the cutting and piecing process much easier.  This finished quilt was made in the Throw size, which measures approximately 54" x 72".

This quilt design would also look great turned on its side with the stripes running horizontally.

This quilt was made by Kare Ybarra and quilted and bound by me.  The quilting was done on my HandiQuilter Amara with ProStitcher in seafoam thread.  Sorry, I'll have to look that up later!
