This is a fun rainbow that bursts across the quilt top. It's strip pieced for a quick and easy finish, and the Throw size uses 1/4-yard cuts - easy peasy!
The quilt pattern includes all of the sizes from Baby to King.
Rainbow Burst Quilt Pattern
I'm excited to add Rainbow Burst to my pattern line since I love rainbows so much. They are just so happy! ♥
The Rainbow Burst quilt pattern is written in color from head to toe, so fabric placement is very easy to see. If you don't have a color printer, purchasing the Printed pattern may be a better option for you.
Rainbow Burst is a quick and easy quilt pattern that you can probably sew up in an afternoon or two. It's really that quick. :)
This stash-friendly quilt pattern is beginner friendly, if you have a couple of quilts under your belt.
Fabric Selection - Moda Grunge
This quilt is made with Moda Grunge fabrics. The colors are Seeing Spots, and the background is a regular Grunge fabric. The exact colors used in this quilt are included inside of the quilt pattern.
All of the quilt sizes are made with 14 different colors - a light and dark in 7 colorways - plus a background fabric. It could be any shade of gray, black, or white.
You may already have fabrics that will work in your stash - especially if you collect solids or fabrics that read as solids.
Longarm Quilting
The quilting design on this Rainbow Burst quilt is Diagonal Bias Plaid, one of my favorite go-to designs for modern quilts. It was quilted in gray thread on my HandiQuilter Fusion with ProStitcher.

The Rainbow Burst quilt pattern includes all of the quilt sizes from Baby to King. Block sizes vary in the different sizes. I enjoy figuring out all of the math to make designs like this work in all of the quilt sizes. You'll need a light and dark of each of seven colorways in the following lengths of fabric.
Baby Size 41" x 50 5"
Throw Size 55" x 76" 1/4 yard (shown here)
Twin Bed Size 70" x 89" 3/8 yard
Queen Bed Size 97" x 102" 5/8 yard
King Bed Size 108" x 109" 3/4 yard
Quilt Kits in Kona Cotton Solids!
I have curated a few quilt kits from my extensive stash of Kona Cotton Solids. There are both bright and pastel quilt kits available. The bright kits have the option of black or medium gray background, and the pastel kits have a white background fabric. You'll find them all

Wide Back Fabric
I love to use wide back fabric whenever possible since it saves both time and money. This quilt is backed with Widescreen in Gray by Robert Kaufman, which I stock in The
Wide Back Shop right here. We always give you a minimum of 4" extra on wide backs in case they need squared up.
