Rainbow Nautical News Throw Quilt!

Oh how I love me a rainbow!  Each square in this Nautical News quilt is a different Kona Cotton solid mixed with modern gray.

Nautical News is a layer cake friendly quilt pattern and is easy peasy!  Cut 'em, sash 'em, join 'em.  :)  Truth be told, I didn't use a layer cake to make this quilt - I just pulled Kona Cottons from my scrap stash and cut three rectangles to the specified size.

The quilt is pictured up side up and up side down to showcase the entire rainbow since the top of quilts is hidden by the quilt rack.  Who's to say which side is up side up and which is up side down?  :}

This quilt sold before it was even finished - thanks to a loyal Instagram follower.  Instagram is the best way to get first notice of my quilts.  Follow me on Instagram!

Nautical News is a full quilt pattern that includes 6 sizes from Baby to King and is layer cake friendly.  Below is how I usually envision Nautical News, but as you can see, it sure rocks the rainbow!

Quilting is a modern Maze design that is large enough that the quilt is still very soft and cozy with gray thread to blend perfectly.

Wow! So different from the original Nautical theme. You can tell it's a great pattern when you can use so many different colorways.
